唐亦琛（吴镇宇饰）是首批华籍机师，跟苏怡结成夫妻，可惜因苏怡先天性心漏症恶化，情况非常严重。亦琛更辞去机师一职，陪她到世界各地旅行休养，然而她的病情急转直下，苏怡实在不想让最爱的丈夫看到自己濒死的惨状，于是悄然离开亦琛……
亦琛一直没有回港，在英国遇上了小餐馆老板Manna，亦琛在她的餐馆住了下来，不经不觉已有两年。这两年间，身为弟弟的唐亦风（吴卓羲饰）也不时到英国探望，希望亦琛可以走出阴霾，重回工作岗位。然而亦琛始终觉得还未准备好，多番婉拒。
